At Three Panels Press, we’re constantly inspired by the creativity and vulnerability our contributors bring to each issue. With so many incredible works to choose from, picking a favorite feels nearly impossible, but we asked the team to try anyway. Here are a few standout pieces from past issues that continue to resonate with us.

Tyler's Pick

My favorite piece is "My Painting" by Laura Cecilia in issue 3. This piece is just up my alley. The line breaks and imagery, especially. Also, some of the lines are deeply romantic.

Text on white background with a red border. It’s a poem about positivity, focusing on loving words, vivid colors, and avoiding negativity.

Choosing favorites was hard because there are so many pieces I love. One that I enjoyed was “Closed Eyes” by Mayra G. Favela. I love the sweet details and moments that can be found in this piece of work. I also loved seeing it in both English and Spanish. I also enjoyed “Comet Neowise,” a photograph by Rosalie Ferguson. It's very moody and simplistically beautiful, which is a style I have always been drawn to.

Lola's Picks

I love all of Sandra Stanic Nexeus’s poems because they’re powerful and raw. Those poems come straight from the heart, and she has a way of describing life in a way that does something for me. I had the pleasure of reading many of her poems, both in English and Croatian, and I’m just sorry the whole world doesn’t speak Croatian because her poetry is absolutely stunning, and reading it in that language is such a different experience.

Typed poem on white background discusses themes of discomfort, social bias, and friendships. Text emphasizes emotion and reflection.

I also love Dajana Gotal’s photos from issue 02 because they’re gorgeous. "Cottage House" is something I’d consider my ideal environment, and "Bramante Staircase in Vatican Museum" is so pleasing to the eye.

Stone house in a golden field overlooks a blue ocean. The scene is serene, with rolling hills in the background and a clear sky above.

Corinna's Picks

As a visual person, my favorites are both visual pieces. I love “Astronomia” by Mirjana M. from issue 04 because I love the concept of collages and also the color palette, between warm and cold tones. It is such an atmospheric piece. The second one is “Haunted Walks with Friends” by Laurel Osmer from issue 03. The huge negative space is such a big part of it, and the circle-centered layout creates a complex yet balanced composition. It’s truly a great work of art. - Corinna

Of course, this is just a small selection of the work we love. Every piece published in Three Panels Press brings something unique to the table. Whether through words or visuals, our contributors continue to surprise and move us. We’re so grateful to be a part of this creative community and can’t wait to share more with you in the next issue.
