For poet Toni Young, writing began as a childhood curiosity—a book of poems, a homework assignment, a first verse about a girl and her dog. Over time, that curiosity deepened into a lifelong dialogue with the self. Through themes of self-love, healing, and women’s empowerment, Young’s work invites readers to find the sacred in everyday moments.

Daithí Kearney grew up in southwest Ireland before going to university in Cork. As a boy, he enjoyed music and dance and gained a lot of experience in the theatre. These remained important to him at university and still have to this day. After qualifying as a teacher of English and Geography, he completed a PhD and quickly gained a position as a lecturer in music at Dundalk Institute of Technology on the east coast. Here, he met his now wife. They have two wonderful sons.

Peter Mangiaracina is a writer from New York City, now living in Spain. He spent years in improvisational theater and played guitar in a jazz fusion band before turning to teaching English and writing fiction. People tell him that someone, somewhere, has read his work—he just hasn't met them yet. I, Jhazzy, had the pleasure of interviewing Peter about his piece that was featured in our magazine, his writing process, and more.

We had a chance to catch up with Issue 04 Contributor, Bhakti Deepak, about her writing. Bhakti is a passionate writer, a seeker of knowledge, and a lover of solitude. With multiple master's degrees in Zoology & Public Administration, Fashion Designing, and Photography, she embodies the fusion of intellect and creativity. A teacher by profession and a part-time accountant, she balances logic with art, but writing remains her true calling.

We recently had the pleasure of speaking with a.d., one of our talented Issue 04 contributors. Based in Malta, a.d. is a bisexual poet and visual artist whose primary medium is photography, especially conceptual and surreal self-portraiture. She also occasionally experiments with painting, sculpture, and collage, exploring different facets of expression through each form.

I had the pleasure of connecting with and learning more about Salma Ahmed, a 24-year-old Egyptian writer and one of our Issue 04 contributors. She graduated from the Faculty of Arts with an English major. Her work previously appeared in Amphibian Press, Vagabond City Lit, The Baram House, Paragraph Planet, The Shallow Tales Review, and Three Panels Press. 

I had the pleasure of catching up with previous magazine contributor, Gloria Maloney. She is a poet from the United Kingdom (UK), living in Essex. Her life experiences have brought her to where she is today, where she writes creative prose and poetry. Her early years were spent daydreaming, escaping into fantasy books, and enjoying long walks in the countryside with her parents, who instilled in her a love of nature.
